The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has some new requirements for 2024. The agency wants to keep invasive species like zebra mussels and New Zealand mud snails from hitchhiking from one body of water to another. So commission spokesman Mike Parker says boaters will be required to check their boats and trailers to remove plants, aquatic life, mud and dirt before they leave a waterway property. The requirements also includes checking anchor lines as well as draining live wells, boat hulls and bilge areas. Anglers are also to check their waders and footgear.
