State Representative Steve Samuelson says one of the legislature’s accomplishments of the past few weeks has been an increase in the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. He says the newly-expanded program has allowed the maximum rebate amount to increase from 650 to one-thousand-dollars. Samuelson, a Democrat from Northampton who is chairman of the House Finance Committee, was a primary sponsor of the legislation. He says it will help more than 173-thousand more seniors and people who are disabled stay in their homes. Instructions on how to file a claim for 2023 are set to be posted on January 16th.
