State College borough is considering a “drink tax” as a way to increase the local budget. Numerous municipalities in the state are considering such a tax as a way to raise much needed money as local costs continue to rise. It’s been estimated that if the tax were to be implemented, it could raise an estimated three million dollars in revenue for the borough.
