Supporters say the newly expanded “Clean Slate” program in Pennsylvania is helping communities by allowing more people access to employment. Clean Slate three-point-oh builds on the original law from six years ago that sealed 40-million state cases for low-level, non-violent drug offenses. The new version allows drug felony convictions to be sealed automatically if a person doesn’t commit any more crimes for ten years. Some property-related felony convictions can also be sealed now by petition after ten years without a conviction.
