Many Central, and Western Pennsylvania school districts have cancelled and delayed classes due to frigid temperatures in the area this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the region until noon today. Wind chills down to minus 15 degrees pose a serious risk of hypothermia for anyone who is out in the elements, and frostbite can set in, within minutes on any exposed skin. Icy spots are possible on roadways and sidewalks this morning as the cold temperatures can cause previously-treated areas to re-freeze.
