State Police are investigating an incident in which an individual was killed yesterday after a garbage truck backed into a tree in Port Matilda. Police say the driver of the truck was backing into a driveway and did not notice an overhanging tree. Police say the victim was hanging onto the back of the truck and was struck by the tree. Authorities say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
