Lawmaker Wants State to Pay Installation, Maintenance of Traffic Lights on State Roads

A Republican lawmaker from Fayette wants the state to pay for traffic lights installed on state roads. Ryan Warner also wants the state to pay for maintaining them.  Currently, PennDOT requires local municipalities to pay those costs for traffic control signals located on state-designated highways. He says he’ll introduce legislation soon that he hopes will reverse that.
