A public hearing on legislation dealing with community solar projects has been rescheduled for next month. The original meeting last month was cancelled due to weather. House Bill 1842 would allow electric customers to join community solar projects to get price breaks on their electric bills. It would also let third-party-owned community solar installations market to electric customers. The legislation will be examined by the House Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities Committee on February 14th.
