Mount Aloysius College in Cresson has announced it’s launching a co-ed NCAA rifle team, becoming the first college in the state, to do so. According to a university statement, there are 54 high school rifle teams in Pennsylvania and if state high school students want to continue to participate in the sport at the college level they have to go outside the state to do so. According to John McKeegan, President of Mount Aloysius, with the start of the new “Mountie Team”, a community need is being addressed.
