County commissioners from around the state are outlining the priorities they think elected officials need to consider this year. One of the biggest named in their list released this past week deals with funding for the 9-1-1 system. The commissioners want state leaders to revisit the idea because they say the proposed dollar-ninety-five surcharge won’t be enough to cover operations costs. The county leaders had wanted the surcharge to be two-dollars and 30 cents per month and are afraid the difference will fall back to county taxpayers. The surcharge is supposed to go into effect March 1st.
