Blair County Commissioners plan a vote tomorrow in favoring a nearly 4 million dollars grant application for the extension of sewer services to properties located along Reservoir Road in Hollidaysburg. Blair Township is asking for the county’s help in their proposal to ask the state Department of Community and Economic Development for grant funds that would pay for the second portion of the $9.5 million dollar project. During a recent public meeting on the sewer system, people addressed problems of human feces in yards during storms, among other issues. The proposal to install sewer lines to serve over 200 homes from West Loop Road to Brooks Mill was put on hold in 2020, but the township is now determined to get the work done thru grant money.
