State officials say Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate is lower than the national average due to strong manufacturing growth. Numbers recently released by the federal labor department show the state’s unemployment rate remained at a record-low three-point-four-percent for November. State officials say the current unemployment rate is the lowest in Pennsylvania going back more than 25 years. The national unemployment rate is at three-point-seven percent.
