For our latest “Local Song of the Week,” we head eastward to the Lancaster-Berks County area to hear a song that was recently introduced on Q94 Classic Rock’s “Homegrown Rocker” program. Formed in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, Caulfield’s Radio derived their name from J.D. Salinger’s classic coming-of-age novel “The Catcher In The Rye.” And like the namesake character in that novel, Caulfield’s Radio exudes a similar spirit of rebellion and tension through the 11 songs of their recently-released debut CD, “Above The Static.” Singer, chief songwriter and guitarist Clint Hibshman, brother Chad Hibshman on guitar, bassist Ryan Phillips and drummer Bryan Ross blend elements of punk and classic rock into their sound, along with touches of blues, rockabilly, surf rock and country twang along the way. Our “Local Song of the Week,” “All Alone With You” is the leadoff track from the “Above The Static” album. Listen for a review of the album in “The Professor’s CD Corner” on the upcoming February 11 edition of the “Homegrown Rocker,” which airs from 8 to 10 p.m. every Sunday night on Q94 Classic Rock (online at www.q94classicrock.com), from 10 p.m. to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm); and you can check out the podcast of the program after it airs on Q94 Classic Rock’s website – just scroll down to and click on the link to “The Professor’s Classroom,” and then scroll down that page until you see “Homegrown Rocker Podcast” and click the show segments for the air date you are seeking (such as February 11, 021124, for that week’s edition!
