What was initially described by Altoona Police as a suspicious death, has now been ruled a homicide, and a suspect is in custody. The homicide victim has been identified as 61 year old Maureen Mazenko who reportedly died from wounds inflicted by another person. City police say the incident occurred yesterday afternoon on East Maple Avenue. An autopsy on Mazenko is expected today. An investigation continues.
