Several recreational trail supporters met with the Blair County Commissioners yesterday in an effort to create an independent authority to launch future trail development in the county, and apply for grant monies. During the meeting it was noted how neighboring counties had their local economies boosted when coordinated trail development efforts were utilized. Reportedly, commissioners were very receptive to the idea of creating an independent authority for future growth and development of trails. About 60 people attended yesterday’s meeting.
