The Pennsylvania State Game Commission is looking for information regarding deer poaching and a dog that was shot in Bedford County over the weekend. The incident occurred around 11:30 Saturday morning in Buchanan State Forest near Wertz Road. Commissioners say two hikers were walking their dogs, when they heard two gunshots and saw a man run back to his black full-size pickup truck before speeding off. During an investigation it was discovered that one of the dogs had a small wound on the side of its mouth which turned out to be a bullet lodged in its jaw. Commissioners say a doe was found near where the suspect fired the shots. The Game Commission is asking anyone who may have information on this case to contact them at 1-833-PGC-HUNT.
