A Cambria County woman has admitted to stealing over 47 thousand dollars from a Johnstown retirement community. She’s been identified as 76 year old Donna Sprankle of Johnstown, who allegedly wrote checks to herself while she was an accountant for the Arbutus Park Manor Retirement Community. Police say the theft occurred from April of 2022 thru September of last year. Sprankle is charged with numerous felony counts for forgery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Reportedly, Sprankle told police she took the money due to financial problems she was facing.
