A Patten man has been taken into custody for allegedly killing a woman yesterday in Chest Township, Cambria County. On-line court documents have identified him as 69 year old William Simmons who reportedly has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Details into the shooting death are limited but State Police are conducting a homicide investigation at a location on Grozanick Road, near Patton. Simmons is being held in the Cambria County Prison with bail denied.
