An open-burn ban is in effect throughout the Keystone State. State officials say the ban – reportedly comes as three Pennsylvania counties – Allegheny, Beaver and Washington – are listed at a moderate risk for dangerous fires. The officials say “strong and dry spring winds” throughout the state will continue to contribute to the conditions. The remainder of the state reportedly is at a low risk for wildfire. Pennsylvania has 17 million acres of public and private wild lands.
