Three More Dogs Tied to Bedford Abuse Case Rescued

Three more dogs tied to a hoarding and animal abuse case in Bedford County have been rescued.  In January nearly 100 animals were removed from deplorable conditions from a home in Bedford County.  Arrested in that case were 81 year old Nyal Piper and 64 year old Renee Piper.  After the raid in Bedford County, the couple stayed at a residence in Johnstown, were once again, three dogs were found to be in their possession, all of them in bad shape. The two small dogs and a Bernese Mountain dog were removed from the home. The Piper’s face nearly 500 charges of animal abuse including torture and are currently in the Bedford County Prison in  lieu of one million dollars bond each. Their  preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 13th.
