A convicted child predator from Johnstown has been arrested after an investigation into accusations he sexually assaulted a Cambria County teen. 50 year old John Beach reportedly assaulted a 14 year old girl, once, when the two had gone fishing in Somerset County, the other having occurred on Halloween while she was trick of treating in Johnstown. Reportedly Beach threatened to kill the teen and her family if she told anyone. In 1993 Beach had pled guilty to charges of statutory rape and corruption of minors involving a six year old girl, in York County. Beach was arraigned this week on numerous charges including rape forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault and making terroristic threats. He is currently in the Cambria County Prison in lieu of $300.000 bail.
