Duo Arrested After Drugs, Gun Found in City Home

An Altoona man and a Curwensville woman were arrested on Monday after police found guns and drugs in a city home.  Arrested were 41 year old Larry Tobias and 23 year old Ivory McCartney.  Authorities arrested the two after they were called to the home, located along the 1900 block of 13th Avenue, for a welfare check.  Once at the home, police discovered that McCartney was found to have a warrant for felony burglary in Clearfield County.  When officers searched the home they found a stolen gun, drugs, including cocaine, meth and ecstasy, along with drug paraphernalia. Tobias has been charged with a felony prohibited possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver and numerous other counts.  He is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.  McCartney was arrested and taken back to Clearfield County where she faces felony charges of burglary, criminal trespass and numerous other charges.
