An Ashville man was sentenced in federal court, and will serve at least 36 years behind bars and a lifetime term of supervised release, after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child. He’s 41 year old Michael Sollenberger, who pled guilty last summer, to three counts, including the production and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor. He was charged initially in 2020, after authorities discovered a video of him raping a young girl who was between the ages of 8-10.
