Pennsylvania’s House has approved Governor Shapiro’s plan to increase funding for public transportation. The Democratic governor has said the systems, are still trying to get back to pre-pandemic ridership numbers. They’re also anticipating a drop-off in federal funds when COVID-19 money runs out. The Democratic-controlled House voted 106 to 95 to approve, with all but one Democrat in favor. The measure is not expected to be well-received in the state Senate.
