A Mifflin County man was sentenced 10-to 20 years for raping a Penn State student in May of 1995. 52 year old Scott Williams of Reedsville was arrested in 2021, 26 years after the rape. While the FBI had a DNA profile for Williams, they were unable to match it to him until years later. In May of 1995 Williams raped and assaulted the woman outside her apartment, causing minor brain damage as well as fracture to her face, skull and jaw. In February, Williams was found guilty of rape by forcible compulsion and aggravated assault.
