Vandals toppled a statue of Mary holding the infant Jesus at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Altoona. Authorities say the vandalism occurred Tuesday evening. There are reports that a maintenance worker did spot three juveniles on the grounds of the church at that time. Despite the surveillance cameras surrounding the 5th Avenue church, authorities have not been able to identify the alleged suspects. The church plans on looking for a new statute. An investigation is underway.
