Job growth in Pennsylvania this year has come from three main sectors: health care, food service and government. That’s according to a report this past week from the Independent Fiscal Office. The state agency attributes the phenomenon to the impact of an aging population, as well as the ongoing demand for restaurant meals and social assistance. Home healthcare and nursing services were the two categories that showed the highest growth percentages.
