A Uniontown man is behind bars today after attacking customers and employees at Sheetz in Everett early Sunday morning. According to State Police in Bedford County, 37 year old Calvin Huffman reportedly crashed a vehicle into a guardrail in Woodbury Township early Sunday morning and then hopped into the passenger seat of someone who stopped to help him. After punching that driver in the face, Huffman threatened him by telling the driver he had a gun, and told him to keep driving. Huffman eventually got out of the vehicle at Sheetz in Everett. At that point Huffman then attempted to get into multiple vehicles in the parking lot, and then went inside the store looking for car keys. Authorities say Huffman attacked multiple customers while trying to get a set of keys. Fortunately, a Sheetz employee was able to trigger a panic button and pin Huffman down until police arrived. Investigators noted the entire incident was captured on store surveillance. Huffman has been charged with kidnapping, robbery, and assault. He has been placed in the Bedford County Prison in lieu of $400,000 bail.
