PA Preparedness Education Network & Sheriff Pitzer is hosting a Preparedness Education Class on Friday, April 26th at 7pm. The class will be at the West Kittanning Firehall, 401 Arthur Street in Kittanning. The topic and discussion will be Laundry during a long power outage. Ruth Wible will demonstrate how to make a non-electric washer that won’t bust your knuckles, and it won’t break the bank. As a bonus, she will show you how to make homemade laundry detergent that is easy to make, and it’s gentle enough for delicates but will also get work clothes clean. The real bonus is, there will be enough to give samples so you can try it before making your own. One sample per household. Doors will open at 6:30. For more information, call Ruth at 724-525-0773.
