U.S Senator John Fetterman, from Pa., has given his full support to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as president of Harvard. Fetterman said Romney doesn’t need a paycheck, but Harvard and its academic peer’s needs to recalibrate from far left orthodoxy.  Fetterman is a former alumnus of Harvard. The 77 year old Romney, has a law and business degree from Harvard, and announced last year that he would not seek a second six-year Senate term. In December, Claudine Gay stepped down as university president amid a plagiarism scandal. She was also under fire when she declined to say whether calls for genocide of Jews violated the school’s code of conduct. Harvard is currently being led by interim president Alan Garber. A rep for Romney did not respond to Fetterman’s support.  Fetterman has become one of the most outspoken pro-Israel Democrats in the Senate.
