Thousands of Pennsylvania residents could see much higher internet bills next month. The federal Affordable Connectivity Program has provided discounts to low-income households, but that funding ends this week. While Pennsylvania will receive another one-point-one billion dollars in federal funding over the next two years, and the state Broadband Development Authority has approved more than 200 million dollars more. The discount, however, could cause many customers to change service or drop it entirely. A state version of the ACP has been introduced in the House but has not yet come before a committee.
