The longtime human resources chief with Blair County has been fired. Yesterday Blair County Commissioners fired Katherine Swigart without explanation. Swigart was hired in 2012 and managed a number of personnel-related issues. Reportedly the county’s salary board will soon address the need to designate an acting director for the department.
