State Police in Centre County are investigating what authorities are saying was an explosive device allegedly found near the Rush Township Supervisor’s Building last week. Last Monday, crews were repairing a water line when they discovered a “blasting cap” buried in the ground. Police say it was determined the device had been left behind years ago when crews last repaired the water line. The PSP Hazardous Device and Explosives team was called in to remove the device and properly dispose of it.
