Some women in Pennsylvania could soon see bigger paychecks. The Pennsylvania House on Monday approved an Equal Pay Act expansion to ban sex and race discrimination, and a mandate for equivalent pay for ‘comparable’ work. State Rep. Jenn O’Mara says the expansion means women will be paid the same as their male co-workers, and won’t be penalized if they take time off for babies or other family needs.
