The Richland Township Zoning Board has rejected a proposal to turn the former Sears store at the Galleria Mall, into a storage facility. Last year, the Sears location, which is separate from the Galleria Mall, was purchased by Storage of America. Last night during the zoning board meeting, dozens of people showed up in opposition of the proposal. It was believed that after having brought attractive businesses back to the Galleria Mall, a storage facility would be detrimental to businesses that have since opened up there.
