An Altoona man was arrested on Friday April 26th, after he was discovered standing outside the Bellwood-Antis High School, acting suspicious. Arrested was 39 year old Daniel Richardson, who according to authorities was dressed in camo, wearing a red beret and having two unleashed pit bulls with him. When police approached him he claimed to be with special ops. Police also reported he appeared to be agitated and got loud with them, stating that people with guns shoot up schools. At one point he tried to fight an officer and when police attempted to detain him, he resisted being put in handcuffs and tried to grab an officer’s gun. He was apprehended and taken to UPMC Altoona for evaluation. Richardson was arraigned on Monday morning on charges including reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He is in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
