A Western Pa., woman was stabbed in the chest while chaperoning a Saturday school trip in Times Square, New York. 36 year old Amber Lohr was escorting a group of students when 61 year old Cyril Destin, who already has a lengthy criminal record, launched an unprovoked assault on Lohr, stabbing her in the chest. Destin had been sitting outside a deli before allegedly leaping up and stabbing Lohr as she and her students where leaving a souvenir shop. Lohr reportedly remained composed and protected her students, staying in front of them and calmly instructing them to move away. Lohr was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Destin, has been charged with second-degree assault among other offenses. He has been arrested 14 times over 20 years.  Lohr’s husband says the family will never go back to NYC again.
