If you saw runners and motorcycle police officers yesterday morning you were witnessing the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics that started in Altoona and ended at Sheetz in Greenwood.  The group of runners, which consisted of more than 50 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies were cheered along the way. The run began in Pittsburgh and is bringing the Flame of Hope to Medlar Field for this year’s games in State College.  The final leg of the run will take place on June 6th when the torch is run from the Lion Shrine in State College to  Medlar Field, to light the Flame of Hope during the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies.
