Despite some clouds and drizzle, many came out to honor fallen veterans at both The Altoona and Juniata Memorial day parades yesterday. Hundreds lined the streets decked out in red, white and blue. In Altoona the parade crossed over the 17th Street bridge, to 12th Avenue and eventually ended on 11th Avenue. The parade concluded with a special ceremony, in downtown Altoona honoring the area’s fallen veterans. Both parades were broadcasted live on WRTA.
