A 20 year old Altoona man has been sentenced to jail time and probation after he pled guilty to physically and sexually assaulted a woman last year. Aaron Foster was arrested last June following a disturbance that occurred along 3rd Avenue in Altoona. The victim told police that Foster “shoved her” and sexually assaulted her following an altercation about a party the two had attended. Last week, Foster appeared in Blair County court where he entered a guilty plea to charges of felony sexual assault and strangulation. He has been sentenced to serve 2.5 to 5 years in prison, followed by 3 years of probation. He is also required to register as a lifetime sex offender.
