A Bedford County man is facing charges for allegedly throwing lit fireworks at a woman and a two year old child. 59 year old Jeffrey Detwiler of New Enterprise is accused of endangering the life of a toddler and a woman after throwing live fireworks in their direction. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at a camp on Rayston Road in Hopewell Township, Bedford County. Detwiler was arrested on Sunday and a bondsman posted his $60,000 bail on Monday. He is facing misdemeanor charges for recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and disorderly conduct. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 5th.
