A heat advisory continues today as Blair and surrounding counties experience the hottest weather so far this year. Temps are to remain in the 90’s thru the weekend. You are reminded to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities, check on elderly neighbors, make sure pets have plenty of shade and water, and do not keep pets in a hot vehicle. Yesterday here in Blair County and throughout the state there were numerous power outages as the intense heat put additional strain on the electrical infrastructure. Nationwide, nearly 75 million Americans are under extreme heat alerts.
