Several power outages occurred off and on yesterday within a mile-long stretch of Pleasant Valley Boulevard. Reportedly the outages would be intermittent and would last for a few seconds, occurring at regular intervals. Officials with Penelec say a defective relay at their substation near the Park Hills Plaza was the problem, and has been repaired. It’s believed excessive air conditioner use caused the issue at the substation.
