An animal rescue center in Altoona is asking for your help. The second Chance Strays Cat Rescue and Lounge has taken in 15 cats that were left behind in an abandoned house that squatters had been living in for several years with no running water or electricity. When the squatters were removed, a number of cats and kittens were left behind. The rescue center spent several hours rescuing the cats and are planning to go back to the home with traps to catch the rest. The group is asking for donations to help the cats get medical care. They are also in need of foster homes and volunteers.
The rescue center which is located at 1101 13th Avenue is in need of the following:
>Dry IAMS’s adult and kitten food
>Wet adult and kitten food
>Blankets
>Traps
>Walnut Clumping litter
