Fireworks that went astray damaged a home in Lakemont last night, resulting in nearly $20,000 worth of damage. Authorities say by the time firefighters arrived at the scene of the house fire on the 700 block of Shand Avenue, the homeowner had put out the majority of the blaze with a garden hose, saving the house. There are no reports of injury.
