A camp in Centre County has agreed to pay $8 million in a teen sexual assault case. The assaults reportedly occurred at Camp Woodward, located outside State College, during the summers of 2018 and 19, when Nathanial Singer, a coach at the camp, sexually assaulted a teen-aged girl. Singer was convicted on four counts of indecent assault following a trial last year, and is serving time at Rockview State Prison.  Reportedly, the girl went to camp officials for help, but was allegedly accused of spreading rumors. Earlier, another coach at the camp warned the head of the gymnastics camp, that Singer was a “child predator.”  The settlement holds the camp responsible for failing to protect children.
