The 20-year-old man who attempted to assassinate Trump during a rally in Butler, Pa. yesterday, has been described as a loner, who was bullied in school and often wore hunting outfits. Yesterday, after shots were fired at Trump, a Secret Service sniper killed Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was planted on top of a manufacturing building 130 yards away from where the rally was taking place. Crooks, who was from Bethel Park, Pa., graduated in 2020, and according to one classmate who spoke with KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, was “relentlessly” bullied. The rifle Crooks used in the attempted assassination was purchased by his father, and that’s according to the Wall Street Journal. After the shooting, authorities discovered explosive devices in Crooks’ car, and at his home. Crooks’ father declined to speak with CNN last evening and said he needed to figure out, “what the hell is going on.” The motive for the shooting is unknown. The FBI is conducting the investigation.
