The funeral will be held today for the man killed in the Trump rally shooting last weekend. Former Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company Chief Corey Comperatore, died Saturday while shielding his family from the bullets of the would-be assassin. The private service followed a public visitation on Thursday. The 50-year-old leaves behind a wife, and two daughters. In the meantime, former president Donald Trump highlighted the loss of Corey Comperatore last night during the Republican National Convention. Comperatore’s fireman’s jacket and helmet were displayed on the stage as Trump gave his presidential nomination acceptance speech. Trump kissed the helmet, before asking the crowd to join him in a moment of silence in Comperatore’s honor. A fundraiser to benefit the former firefighter’s family, and David Dutch and James Copenhaver, the two men who were seriously wounded in the rally shooting, has raised well over six-million dollars.
