Pa., Reaps Record Tax Revenues from Gambling Industry

Pennsylvania’s gambling industry continues to come up aces.  Officials say the Keystone State pulled in more than two point five billion dollars in tax revenues last year from casinos, video-gaming terminals, I-gaming, sports wagering and fantasy sports contests.  According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, operators collected nearly $5.9 billion in gross revenue – which includes their take and the state’s tax share – from the state’s 17 casinos and fantasy contests in the fiscal year ending June 30th.  Last year, the state netted $2.36 billion from the 2023 gross of $5.5 billion.
