A 25-year-old Martinsburg man is facing charges of alleged child abuse, after spanking a toddler that reportedly left a hand print on the lower back of the child. State Police have identified him as Brandon Long who reportedly admitted to smacking the toddler following an incident between the child and his sibling. Police were reportedly contacted on Saturday July 20th after a relative, who was caring for the children, discovered bruising on the lower back of one of the children. Long faces charges of aggravated assault of a child, simple assault and harassment. A preliminary hearing is pending.
